An epic album to collect, Marvin Gaye is a music designer, American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Earlier, He helped to build and shape the sound of Motown in the 1960s also developing new artist for sound of Motown, first as an in-house session player and later as a solo artist with a string of hits
  
One of my fave tracks is "Symphony", giving Retro-soul in their bass line on ‘Symphony’ simple and harmonies, kinda Motown typically sound but with a little mainstream composition



This record is following the relative failure of single ‘You’re the man’ and a dispute with Motown head and leader Berry Gordy, the proposed album was ditched leaving these songs floating round in dribs and drabs, until now.
 
An summer vibes and a little power of LOVE and the bouncy ‘Where are we going?’ a proto-disco horn of plenty positing the rhetoric. 
 
This album also included are the rare, long LP version of Gaye’s cancelled 1972 Christmas single, ‘I want to come home for Christmas’ a less-than-festive number about an imprisoned soldier longing for home in Vietnam and it’s instrumental flipside ‘Christmas in the City’. Complete package and fit to all veterans
